1. General provisions
Jurkonsul (the “Service”) offers the Internet user (the “User”) the use of jurkonsul.com, its regional sites and account functions under these terms (the “Agreement”). The Agreement covers use of the website and communication about legal assistance. The Privacy Policy forms part of these terms.
By using the Service, the User agrees to these terms to the extent permitted by applicable law. If you do not agree, please stop using the Service. The current version is published on this page; changes apply as permitted by law and do not automatically amend an existing agreement for legal assistance.
2. Registration and user account
Some functions require an account. The User must provide accurate information, keep it up to date and protect their sign-in credentials. Do not give other people access to your account or use another person’s account without authorization. Notify Jurkonsul promptly if you suspect unauthorized access, and sign out when using a shared device.
Where reasonably necessary to protect an account or confirm authority to act, Jurkonsul may request supporting information. Access may be restricted in cases of unlawful use, security threats or material breaches of these terms. Requests to close an account can be made through the inquiry form; legal retention duties and obligations under a separate agreement may continue.
3. Inquiries and legal assistance
Information on the website is general information and is not an individual legal opinion. Sending an inquiry or creating an account does not by itself establish a lawyer-client relationship, authorize representation or mean that a matter has been accepted.
The scope of assistance, responsible specialist, required authority, timing and fees are agreed separately after the circumstances are clarified. A separate engagement agreement governs the agreed work. Whether actions can be performed remotely depends on the matter and the relevant jurisdiction. Jurkonsul does not guarantee a particular decision by a court, authority or other party. An inquiry does not suspend any legal deadline.
4. User information and materials
The User is responsible for the accuracy of the information supplied and for their authority to share documents and information about others. Materials may be copied and processed as necessary to respond to the inquiry and perform agreed work, subject to the Privacy Policy. Submitting materials does not transfer ownership or authorize their public publication.
Jurkonsul may apply reasonable technical limits and block malicious files, spam or abusive requests to protect the Service. Service messages concerning an inquiry or account may be sent using the contact details provided.
5. Acceptable use
Do not impersonate another person, violate third-party rights, send unlawful material, distribute malware, seek unauthorized access or interfere with the operation of the Service. Do not use automated requests to bypass access restrictions or overload the website. Information relevant to seeking lawful legal assistance is considered in its context.
6. Intellectual property
The design, software, texts, illustrations and other website materials belong to Jurkonsul or the respective rights holders. They may be used within the functions offered by the Service and as permitted by law. Other reproduction or commercial use requires the relevant rights holder’s permission. The User retains rights to their own materials.
7. Third-party websites and services
The website may link to external resources. Their availability and content are controlled by third parties and are subject to their own terms. A link alone does not imply endorsement or a guarantee of the information provided.
8. Availability and responsibility
Jurkonsul seeks to keep the website available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The User should verify information relevant to their individual circumstances before relying on it. Responsibility for agreed legal assistance is governed by the relevant agreement and applicable law. Nothing in these terms excludes liability or consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Other provisions
Applicable law, including mandatory protections relevant to Ukraine and the User’s place of residence, governs the parties’ rights and obligations. Disputes are resolved under the applicable legal procedures. These website terms do not replace a separate agreement for legal assistance. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
10. Languages and contact
The Service publishes information in the languages shown in its language selector. The language of consultations and documents is agreed separately. Language selection does not waive rights under applicable law. Questions about these terms can be sent through the inquiry form.
